It IS magic!

If you remember my post from last week, I had tried out Dorian Eng's video tutorial for making boxes from Zendalas. Although they were lovely boxes, I was having trouble with the boxes popping open because I was using paper that was just too stiff. I ended up tying them with ribbon. Why, you ask, didn't you just use the Zendalas from Zentangle? Well, good question, and I don't have a good answer except to say I was down to my last few zendalas and I needed two to make a box. I guess I was just hoarding those last few. But, I was ignoring a Zentangle rule, and my own instructions to students: Use the best quality material you have available to you! You are worth it and your artwork is worth it! While trying to figure out why the boxes were popping open, one commenter suggested it was the fabric like quality of the zendala tile...or maybe it was just magic! Enyshou it's magic!
