I've seen some great looking tangled bookmarks online and wanted to try my hand at it as well. I had two scraps of really nice watercolor paper. It took me a couple of weeks to finish these. I ended up scanning them and reprinting them before laminating.

And here is the finished "project" including cards which hold the bookmarks for mailing.
Have a great week!
Betsy, I love your bookmarks! I've been following your work for a few months now. As a newbie to Zentangle, your art is such inspiration to me. If I understand correctly, your bookmarks are reprints of the one original? What kind of scanner/printer do you use? The quality/colour is amazing! Also how did you laminate them? Do you have a machine? My family and I read A LOT, so I am always making bookmarks. However the paper ones don't last long when you read in the bath! LOL!! Thanks and happy day! :))
ReplyDeleteThanks Deanne! You're correct that I made reprints from my originals (there were 2 original bookmarks, front and back) by scanning and reprinting them on our home printer. We have an HP Photosmart C5550 All-in-One Printer/Scanner/Copier. Its several years old but has held up well. It was the best deal at Costco at the time. I printed them onto white cardstock. I also laminated them on my Purple Cows laminator. Its about as old as the copier (and I got it at Costco too!) I'm guessing tho that you could do both the reprinting and laminating at a copy store as an alternative. Happy reading!
DeleteAbsolutely gorgeous bookmarks! With the pretty card holder they look very elegant! What a great idea! Very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice sunday!
