Hitched to a new year

This week's Diva challenge #199 is to use HeidiSue's tangle Hitched. Mine is in my art journal using a standard Zentangle® tile that I traced around in pencil. Meer accompanies Hitched in one, and Maryhill in the other. I really enjoyed shading with my new Cretacolor Monolith woodless pencils. They are really smooth.

I also wanted to share my calendar update. I pulled apart my calendar from this post, kept some pages I refer to often, kept the pockets for tiles, ATCs and added Bijou size, reused my cover (it's holding up quite nicely) and added this new divider tab. I replaced the calendar pages to give bullet journaling a go. Since I'm a list person, it seems like a good fit for me. If you're interested in bullet journaling, check out this short video. I re-bound(!) my book using my Bind-it-All and ... Ta da I have a new journal.

Tangles used: Maryhill, Quipple, Rain and Vega. I used my new Cretacolor Aqua Monolith woodless pencils. (Santa was good to me!) They are beautiful, but I'm afraid I need more practice with them.

Mosaics from my first class!

Last Sunday marked a milestone for me, my first Zentangle® class! Here are the tiles drawn by my awesome students. Nice lines, orbs and shading huh? They did fantastic!

Happy Holidays!

I did finish them after all! I have two cards this year using two parts of the die cut. I did two original drawings, scanned them, printed and cut to fit my A2 card base. Then I added the dies. Each card is stamped from the Hero Arts set Holiday Word Borders. Apparently the stamps are no longer in production. The die is Clairmont Ornaments by memory box. Tangle patterns Orlique and Organza Again.

I was playing around with Braze in between working on cards. It seems to have that festive touch too. Happy Holidays!
